NY pictures lighthouse

The 1999 New York duck stamp features a pair of buffleheads flying over the Hudson River.

In the background stands the Rondout II, commonly known as the Kingston Lighthouse. The lighthouse is a historic landmark that has helped light the way between Albany and New York City since 1915. Still standing, it is now a museum.

The artwork is by Richard Clifton. Clifton has done 19 stamp designs since 1991, ranking him fifth on the all time duck stamp list.
